Sculptor and film maker. The son of artists Roma Hopkinson and Bim Hilder and grandson of watercolourist J.J. Hilder, Kim Hilder was a sculptor active in Sydney during the 1980s. The artist had an exhibition at the Bloomfield Galleries in Paddington, Sydney, in 1983, titled 'Three Generations of Hilder’. The exhibition displayed the work of Kim Hilder and his father and grandfather. An article by Sydney sculptor Anne Ferguson in Art and Australia mentioned Kim Hilder’s work and his art career. He studied art and sculpture at the East Sydney Technical College and completed a diploma in sculpture.
