Professor Leslie Wilkinson

Leslie Wilkinson was Australia's first Professor of Architecture, at the University of Sydney from 1918 to 1947, and Dean of the Faculty from 1920. As well as designing many notable Sydney university buildings and houses, with Mediterranean influences, he was the founding president of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 1933-34 and the first architect to be awarded its Gold Medal (for career achievement) in 1960.
