Liane Rossler, the daughter of a child Holocaust survivor, was born in 1965. She studied Visual Arts at Sydney’s College of Fine Arts (COFA), followed by a Graduate Diploma in Professional Arts Studies in 1986. During her studies at COFA, Rossler met her Dinosaur Design partners Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy. Initially selling small pieces made out of recycled materials at the Paddington Markets, the three utilised experimental techniques with fimo and resin to develop their distinctive Dinosaur Design style.
Their first retail outlet was in the Strand Arcade and expanded to Paddington, Melbourne and New York. In 2010, after 25 years as a designer and director, Liane left to pursue her interests in art and the environment. She works on collaborative creative projects including Supercyclers, which focuses on clever and beautiful reuse of waste.
