Suttie was an industrial designer with studies at the Melbourne Technical College (RMIT) He began work with "Moulded Products", Richmond, Victoria later Nylex, with firm 22 yrs, then BX Plastics as Chief Designer after 1961, lectured at RMIT from 1956.
