cartoonist and caricaturist, was a member of the Australian Black and White Artists Club in 1994 when he wrote a letter objecting to his omission from the Drawing from Life exhibition at the SLNSW, claiming that he had represented Australia at over 200 exhibitions on all continents and won 28 international cartoon awards – 'Australia’s most internationally awarded cartoonist’. He accused the ABWAC of racism. Three years later Inkspot 28 reported that 'POL’ had won the 'Dattero D’Argento & Council of Europe Award at the 49th Salone Internazionale del Umorismo in Bordighera, Italy’ and was a member of the jury at the 35th International Cartoon Festival in Knokke-Heist; 'His cartoons are currently (1997) being syndicated world-wide through the Cartoonists and Writers Syndicate in the USA.’
