Biripi painter, Mandy Davis is a member of Tobwabba Art in Forster, NSW. One of her paintings was transformed into a mosaic and installed into the foyer of the Aboriginal Unit at Newcastle University. Davis was a finalist in the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize.

In the March 2008 ART + law newsletter Delwyn Everard, a senior solicitor at Arts Law and Patricia Adjei, the Indigenous solicitor at Arts Law wrote an article in regards to Mandy Davis being involved in a copyright and moral rights infringement matter over her work "Emu". Davis, with the assistance of Arts Law and their Artists in the Black program was able to reach a settlement with the terms remaining confidential (source: Tess Allas).
