Roberts was the head of the Department of Women's Handicrafts at the East Sydney Technical College from 1909 until 1924. She was a member of the founding editorial committee for the Tech's Technical Gazette and the VP of the Feminist Club. She founded the Vocations Club at the Tech to guide students into appropriate careers and introduced a 'Business Women's Course'.
