A dressmaking and craft teacher vociferously committed to vocational training for women, Mary Roberts was a zealous teacher and curriculum designer at Sydney Technical College. She was also a founding member of the editorial committee of the Technical Gazette of New South Wales in 1911 (the only woman member) and vice-president of the NSW Feminist Club from 1914.
