watercolour painter, showed two watercolour 'Groups of Flowers’ at the 1869 Melbourne Public Library Exhibition. The artist was most probably Mary Ann Richardson, sister of George Bouchier Richardson and John Thomas Richardson , who was born at Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1841 and accompanied her parents to Victoria in 1850. She could have been Mary Frances, née Holmes, widow of the 'other’ John Richardson , who was said to have been 'of an artistic family’.
