Dancer and painter, Melville Escott has been a visual artist all his life – he began sketching with a pencil as a child. He paints the body art of his community onto canvas using acrylic paints. His works have featured in the 2006 'Gatherings II’ exhibition and 'Muyinda Thae (Old Men Return)’ exhibition at the Woolloongabba Art Gallery in Brisbane in 2006.
