Michael Meszaros has produced large-scale public sculptures, such as the copper birds at 350 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria but he is perhaps best known for his work as a medalist. His design for the Australian Bicentenary Medal presented to school children in 1988 was the second-largest medal issue in history.
