Miss Ann Biddell was a regular exhibitor with the Art Society of New South Wales throughout the 1880s. In 1884 her flower paintings attracted the favourable attention of the Sydney Mail critic.

At the fifth exhibition of the Art Society of NSW in 1884: 'Miss Ann Biddell’s spring flowers are well coloured’ ( Sydney Mail 26 July 1884, 158).
