sketcher, showed 'pencil drawings of marine subjects’ in the 1861 Industrial Exhibition at the Maitland School of Arts, New South Wales. The exhibitor was Mr Ward of the Maitland Mercury , presumably her father. According to the rival Maitland Ensign , Miss Ward’s drawings were 'well worth attention’.
