Born near Mt Denison in 1944, Morris began painting at Napperby in the late 1980s. He previously worked as a stockman and drover at Coniston station and paints the stories of his country around Mt Denison – Kangaroo, Wild Potato and Men and Women’s Dreamings associated with a place called Chadabunya (Tjatapunja) on Mt Denison. Morris is of the Anmatyerre language group and lives at Napperby.
