Mrs Charles Rice, painter and actor, advertised in the Queensland Mackay Mercury of 11 June 1870 that she was 'prepared to execute all kinds of ornamental painting on glass, wood, &c'. Nevertheless, she mainly worked as a theatrical entertainer.
