sketcher, was awarded a prize at the tenth annual exhibition of the South Australian Society of Arts in 1866 for 'a very careful copy’ in pencil of Coming Events Cast their Shadows Before . At the 1867 exhibition she was awarded a guinea prize for 'the best drawing in Indian Ink, Pen and Ink, or Neutral Tint, or any Combination of them, by ladies, original or copy’. The artist was presumably the widow of Thomas Egremont Gee (c.1813-62) from Ackworth, Yorkshire. When her husband was alive the Gees lived in the Adelaide suburb of Norwood; their only child, Evelyn Price Gee (1859-60), was born and died there.
