A prolific and award-winning needleworker, M.A. Andrews exhibited with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and at the Sydney International Exhibition in 1879 and the Exhibition of Women's Industries in 1888. The bronze medals she was awarded were later donated to the Mitchell Library by her granddaughter.
