photographer, appears to be the Mrs O. Solomon listed at 149 Riley Street, Woolloomooloo in 1918-20, at 24 Mount Vernon Street, Forest Lodge in 1922 – both residential addresses. Then she disappears from Sydney directories. No Mrs Solomon is listed as operating as a professional photographer from the Boulevarde, Strathfield, even though she stamped a photograph from this address in 1918. Since Strathfield had no listed photographer until 1922, when Mr C.E. Holcombe appeared at Moseley Street, one can only presume Mrs Solomon was loosely attached to a shop in the Boulevarde in 1918, perhaps the chemist’s, from which she took photographs in private homes on request.
