Nyree Reynolds is a painter. Her Gamillaroi heritage inspires her contemporary practice and her love of animals inspires her pet portraits. She currently conducts art workshops for people with disabilities in regional NSW.

Description: “The spirit of the land” was painted in collaboration between artists, Joy Engelman and Nyree (Ngairi) Reynolds and selected for the inaugural awards in 2007. The work was purchased by the then Dept of Climate Change as an important statement and hangs today in the Dept of the Environment in Canberra.
