sketcher and architect, showed a pencil landscape, a chalk drawing of Grey Abbey, County Down, Ireland, and a watercolour of a Gothic doorway at the 1856 Victorian Exhibition of Art where he was listed as a colonial artist. In the architecture section he exhibited a design for St James’s Deanery, Melbourne. The following year he was certainly working as an architect for the Melbourne Anglican Church, calling tenders for alterations and repairs to Bishop’s Court, East Melbourne.
