sketcher, is known for sixteen watercolours of scenery in New South Wales (Mitchell Library) and one that may be of Waikato Heads, New Zealand. Three are dated: Caves Cataract River, New South Wales 1842 , Turon River 1846 and Little Wallaby Rocks, Turon River 13 February 1853 . Others include Illawarra Lake N.S.W. , Burning Mountain. Wingen. N.S. Wales and views of Wollongong. They are reasonably competent landscapes, some incorporating clumsy foreground figures. W.R. Collett, presumably a connection (or the same person), was appointed the first commissioner of main roads for New South Wales in 1861 and held office for a year.
