"Chum" (William Malcolm Ferris) Ferris b. 1 January 1914

  • Designer
Ferris was an industrial designer who established Ferris Bros. 1934, and developed an automobile radio, Model 74 portable radio for home and automobiles. He had 600 employees in the early 1960s, also designed TVs, antennae, he sold the company to Hawker Siddeley 1970.
