Born 'in the bush’ in the area south of Southesk Tablelands c.1935. A Kukatja tribesman, his traditional country was south-west of Balgo at Kurtal. He began painting for Warlayirti Artists in 1989 and painted Rainbow Snake and Goanna Dreamings. The artist’s works have a unique look and exhibit a strong sense of tradition and authority. Along with other Mulan painters, he used brushwork along with dotting, and included more figurative elements in his works. The designs are always interesting and every area of the canvas is filled with motifs and significance from Men’s Law.
