cartoonist, a member of the Black and White Artists’ Club, contributed to the Bulletin in the 1980s. His biography in 'Australia’s magnificent cartoonists’, Bulletin 12 November 1985, 110, states: 'Rik Kemp has been a part-time cartoonist for 14 years who would prefer to be a full-time cartoonist, but the family have to eat! Interests: humor [ sic ], current affairs, popular fiction, and travel (when the purse-strings allow).’ The Australian Black and White Artists’ Club Inkspot 1992-95 collection (Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, Sydney PXD 586) contains his 'A simple thank you would have sufficed, Joanne!’ and 'Republic now’.
