painter and photographer, came to Melbourne in 1857 and was employed in a photographic studio. Exhibited Victorian Academy of Arts from 1878 and Victorian Artists’ Society until 1892. Moved to Bendigo and opened a photographic studio. Has 6 water colours in Bendigo Art Gallery (McCulloch, Artists of the Australian Gold Rush ).

Exhibited in the Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition 1888-9, Victorian Artists’ Gallery (Watercolours) no.141 Near Toorak .

Listed in Sands 1889.
