Roberts was a prolific professional photographer in the 1860s.

professional photographer, exhibited photographs in partnership with Henry Beaufoy Merlin at the 1866 Ballarat Mechanics Exhibition, Victoria. This was possibly William Francis Roberts . The photographer called Roberts in partnership with Fawcett at Adelaide in 1868 may have been Jonah Roberts , apparently a brother of William.
