Roy Coulthard is an Adnyamathanha man from the Northern Flinders Ragers in South Australia. He is a passionate traditional artefact maker who would watch his father and grandfather create wooden artefacts when he was a child. He has exhibited his works in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Our Mob exhibitions at the Adelaide Festival Centre.
Coulthard has conducted artefact making workshops in local Port Augusta schools, NAIDOC week events, CROC Festivals and at the Iga Warta Aboriginal Community (Flinders Rangers). In 2002 he was awarded the Port Augusta NAIDOC Elder of the Year and was the 2006 NAIDOC Elder of the Year.
