S.R. Bellingham's works were shown at the 1888-89 Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition. His landscapes, which are predominately of the Central West region of New South Wales, suggest he was a resident of this area.

painter, initialled an 'oil sketch from nature’ of Kelso, NSW, dated 1883 (Bathurst Regional Art Gallery). At the Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition 1888-89 in the NSW Court, J. Wilson exhibited Bellingham’s Imperial Caves, N.S.W. and The Devil’s Coach-house (Jenolan Caves) , both no.36.
