Siegfried Manietta was born in Germany and spent his formative years in Northern NSW and South-East QLD. He has worked commercially across a range of disciplines including retail, commercial, and advertising photography, and colour laboratory entering the photography teaching profession in 1978. Most recently Manietta was a Senior Lecturer at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University Brisbane, Australia.
