Ceramicist and painter, Sonia Kennedy was a finalist in the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize with her acrylic on canvas painting, Dad’s Home -Darlington Point Mission (2004). Kennedy has been selling her ceramics and paintings throughout Sydney since 1997.
According to the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize catalogue Kennedy is completing a Certificate IV in Ceramics at Nepean TAFE, Kingswood, NSW. It also states that her designs reflect her experiences of being born in and growing up in Western Sydney.
