Tony Hull, artist and teacher, was born in London in 1949 where he lived for 30 years. In 1979 he moved to Australia and lived in Thirroul, NSW. In 2008 he moved to Bowral on the Southern Highlands of NSW then in 2013 to Kiama on the NSW South Coast. In 1989 he became an Australian citizen. He has an extensive background in art having commenced professional studies in 1974. Between 1980 and 2009 he was employed full-time by TAFE NSW as a teacher of fine arts and head teacher of an art and design department. The University of Wollongong conferred a Doctorate of Creative Arts upon him in 1997.

Tony Hull has held eight solo exhibitions and participates in many group exhibitions each year. He has been the recipient of several awards for his paintings and his work is held in many private, corporate and public collections.
