Wilson was a graphic artist and creative director at Jackson Wain P/L, Sydney, later moving to Melbourne working with Leo Burnett. He was President, Australian Commercial and Industrial Artists Association, Chair, Industrial Design Council 1979-1982. He devised the Australian Design Award programme.
