Albert Bond was an architect and artist who designed a large department store for Anthony Hordern in the 1880s on George Street in Sydney. The first full-time City Architect for the City of Sydney, Bond also worked on the Sydney Town Hall before resigning in 1877.

His major architectural work was the design of Anthony Hordern’s large department store (now demolished): 'Near the Haymarket … but on the George Street side, Messrs A. Hordern and Sons are finishing a large palace emporium in which to retail drapery. The designs … were prepared by Mr Albert Bond, who has also under his direction the building of four large produce stores in Sussex Street for Messrs Bray Brothers’.

As the first full-time City Architect for the City of Sydney, Bond also worked on the Sydney Town Hall between 1873 and 1877, when he resigned from his post.
