Alex Zubryn, painter and draughtsman, was born in Melbourne in 1965. He studied at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne and has been represented in numerous group and solo exhibitions since 1988. In addition to his artistic practice, Zubryn is an Associate Lecturer of Media and Communication at RMIT University, Melbourne.

Description

Hard Rubbish: A series of paintings that narrate the journey of personal objects from domestic interiors into the urban environment. The discarded objects that are depicted highlight a juxtaposition between the private interior and the public nature of the suburban street.
