amateur photographer, worked in Sydney. When the members of the Volunteer Artillary Band met to make a presentation to their conductor, Sergeant W. Cork, at his residence at Glebe Point, a photograph of the group was taken by Mr Alfred Brown, a band member ( Sydney Mail 9 July 1876, 4: info. Jane Lennon).
