Sculptor, has an interesting and quirky view of history, as seen in her finalist’s design for The Edge of the Trees , in her Bee-ship (Hyde Park Barracks courtyard late 1990s) and in the toys she created for Magical Golland (Elizabeth Bay House, 2000-1). The last included Heraldic Dove Toy 2000, native grass, telephone wire and plastic, Tube Bird 2000, inner tube rubber, Bush Turkey feathers, wood and grass, and Heraldic Falcon 2000, grass, telephone wire, inner-tube rubber and feathers. Along with her illustration for a Sow’s Sofa from a sketchbook, the toys are illustrated in Insight (HHT 2001). They were made to complement Kathleen Rouse 's stories written in the 1880s about a magical land of imaginary kingdoms of Golland, Fairyland, the Archipelago and the provinces of Tomore and Silasod, for the HHT exhibition Magical Golland (EBH November-May 2001).

Clouston’s work has been included in national survey exhibitions (Australian Sculpture Triennial and Australian Perspecta). She exhibits regularly with Mori and Ray Hughes commercial galleries. In 1999 she completed Creek Line , a large environmental sculpture commission in outback NSW. She has been an artist-in-residence with various remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.
