Alison Williams of the Gumbayngirr language group of NSW works with oils, oil pastels and PVA on canvas. She was a finalist in the 2005 and 2007 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize.
Gumbayngir painter, Alison Williams works in the medium of oils and oil pastels on canvas. In 2005 and again in 2007 she was a finalist in the Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize held at Parliament House, Sydney.
Williams has worked in the arts sector as a ceramicist, teacher and performance artist. She has also held the position of Arts Co-ordinator at Yarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation, Corindi Beach in Northern NSW. Williams’ work was included in the Seven Spirits exhibition that toured to Canada in 2007.
