Quiltmaker, migrated from Devon to Australia with her husband and seven children in 1857. A 'logo quilt’ with a central motif of a rooster (private collection), possibly made on the voyage to Australia, has recently been identified as her work. An almost identical logo quilt she made about the same time with an official coat of arms in the centre (Powerhouse Museum) has long been known and widely reproduced. The two were on display at the Powerhouse Museum in 2001-02.
