Anmatyerre artist who painted for Yuelamu Artists located in his traditional country, Mt Allan. He subsequently moved to Ti-Tree (NT) with other Mt Allan painters.
Born in 1950, Andrew Collins moved at the end of the ’80s to the settlement of Ti-Tree along with his brother Jack Cook, their wives Elma Ross and Anne Cook and a number of other artists from Mt Allan. His traditional country is Mt Allan, and he paints Yuelamu, Women, Water and Kangaroo Dreamings for this country. An Anmatyerre speaker, he is married to Elma Ross Napanangka, who also paints occasionally.
