sketcher, was a daughter of Rev. George Stonehouse, a Baptist minister, and his wife, Harriet. She exhibited Scene in the Park Lands with the South Australian Society of Arts in 1862 and again (non-competitively) at the following year’s exhibition. In 1868 she was awarded a prize for her horse painting and the following year she won the 2-guinea prize for a study of a tree or trees by an amateur. On 10 May 1870 Anna Maria Stonehouse married the painter and art teacher Wilton Hack ; they had at least four children.
