Arthur Mather b. 1925

Mid 20th century Melbourne political cartoonist, comic strip artist and novelist. When he was 21 (1947) Mather was approached by the director of Atlas Publications, the former newspaper editor Jack Bellew, to create a full-colour comic book featuring a superman type of hero.
