Augustus Leopold Kuper
b. 1809
Artist (Painter)
Kuper was a naval office who came to Australia to help establish a garrison in Port Essington (Northern Territory). Later as Captain of the Pelorus he made an ink and watercolour sketch of the ship wrecked at Port Essington after a hurricane.
