professional photographer, was listed in the Melbourne Directory for 1861 at 72 Moore Street, Collingwood. In 1865-66 he was working from Burke Street, Smythesdale, near Ballarat. A carte-de-visite by Ballard & Co. of 80 Fitzroy Street, Collingwood, has been recorded by Alan Davies in MEA .
