Beryl Robertson has been painting since the mid 1980s and was one of the senior Warlpiri women of the Yuendumu community whose interest in painting helped spark the Warlukurlangu Artists enterprise.
A Warlpiri speaker, Beryl Napangardi Robertson lives in Yuendumu and has been painting for Warlukurlangu Artists since the mid-'80s. She was one of the senior Warlpiri women of the Yuendumu community whose interest in painting helped spark of the art enterprise at the settlement. Her Dreamings include Karnta (Woman). Her work has been exhibited in New Zealand in The Painted Dream at Auckland City Art Gallery and Te Whare Taonga o Aetearoa National Art Gallery and Museum, Wellington in 1991, and was included in the Women s Exhibition’ The Women’s Gallery Melbourne in 1990, consisting predominantly of paintings by Warlukurlangu Artists.
