Lilliput; he freelanced after returning to Australia. He drew
WWII cartoons for the
Bulletin, including a car joke, “Hey, 'ow d’you know I want to sell it”, published 27 November 1940 (original ML Px*D457/48); “Good morning, General—travelling incognito?” 1944 (soldier to top hatted gentleman up to his knees in water in the jungle: original ML); “Sometimes I feel we’ve released too many men for active service!” 1944 (two women digging ditches); “Good afternoon, gentlemen! Can I show you anything?” 1944 (clothing store sergeant to two naked soldiers); “I must admonish you for wearing your hat in a manner which can only be described as unairmanlike!” 1944 (officer to naked soldier on tropical island).
