Bruno Benini was born in Italy, 1925, and was a fashion photographer active during the 1950s-70s. Benini migrated from Italy in 1935 with his parents and studied Science at Melbourne Technical College (now RMIT). Benini worked briefly for General Motors Holden. He returned to Italy in the 1940s. Benini's work as a fashion photographer captured the works of many Australian and international fashion designers. Benini's wife, Hazel also worked int he fashion industry as a fashion publicist, stylist and display manager. A collection of his works are on record at the Powerhouse Museum.
