Naval officer and sketcher. Served on the Alligator when the ship was at Port Essington (Northern Territory) in 1838-1839. Later drew a pen-and-ink view, 'Sydney Bay, Norfolk Island' (1852), on a page which also includes a pencil sketch of a sailing ship with the edge of Nepean Island (off Norfolk Island) in the right-hand corner.
