professional photographer, was at Windsor, New South Wales, in 1856. He was proprietor of the Victoria Portrait Gallery at Parramatta in 1857-80, taking “Clifton” (pobably Clifton Tuke, his brother) into partnership at the same address (renamed the Parramatta Photographic Gallery) in 1858. In March 1865 he moved his Victoria Portrait Gallery from Church Street to 432 George Street (over Mr Hebblewhite’s American Depot), where he sold cartes-de-visite for £1 a dozen.
