Early 20th century Melbourne illustrator and cartoonist who contributed to Melbourne Punch in 1924-25 and whose work was exhibited alongside Percy Leason and Will Dyson at an exhibition of Punch drawings at Melbourne's Athenaeum Gallery in 1927.
illustrator [and cartoonist?], contributed to Melbourne Punch in 1924-25, eg. straight cover drawing of man handing over his pay to his large wife, vol.1 no.6 (22 January 1925), ill. Lindesay, WWW , 115. In 1927 Melbourne’s Athenaeum Gallery held an exhibition of original Melbourne Punch drawings by Percy Leason (over 200 works) and Will Dyson (80 works), plus a few b/w caricatures by Len Reynolds and illustrations by Claire Scott (1924-25). Several Dyson cartoons and three Leasons were purchased for the NGV, but no Scotts. There is some speculation that Claire Scott may not have been Australian.
