    Ion Nicolades commissioned Meadmore to design a new interior for the egend Espresso and Milk Bar. Meadmore invited Leonard French to paint seven panels for the Milk Bar on the theme of the Legend of Sinbad.

    In 1952, the SIDA announced the “Good Design” label. The Sydney Morning Herald reported “The Society proposed to select each month some Australian-made article of furnishing of which the committee approves and hopes by use of the label to stimulate manufacturers to good work and consumers to appreciate good when it is seen.”
